Cell Wars: Fending Off the Sods

Luke knew it all too well, once the red lights flashed like mad, once everyone started suiting up, once every officer in the control centre went off babbling into their respective intercom units.

Helmet on, orange jumpsuit zipped up, X-Wing ready. The calm in his mind was almost deceptive, but he was seasoned enough to keep a cool head.

Everyone else, though, wasn't in the same enlightenment.

And the Sods were back with a vengeance.

Control tasked him to take care of the Carrier in Lalaland, not very far off, and, like all the other Carriers, smack right on the border between his home and the outside world.

..

He actually felt guilty that his flight there felt so leisurely, in the midst of all the other T-Wings shooting at the Sods like mad and Y-Wings bombing whatever they could.

..

The Carrier looked helplessly useless enough on its own, with all the Sods about, rushing past the border to invade his home.

He knew the drill.

Luke armed his Adenosine Triphosphate (ADT) laser beams and fired away, not intent on killing the Sods but rather on herding them back at the Carrier.

On cue, the Carrier opened up, took in three Sods at a time, and, with energy from the phosphates found in Luke's ADT laser beams, blasted those Sods back into Sodland.

..

And that's how active transport in the plasma membrane works.

Bio oh bio.

Why I shouldn'tve learnt History.

Kata-kata hikmat oleh George Santayana (ahli falsafah)
"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."
(The Life of Reason, Volume 1:1905)

Meaning to say, if I didn't learn about Chandragupta Maurya conquering the whole of North India, then I would've conquered the whole of North India.

Aiks. Wasted..

Now I'm pretty sure I haven't learnt about the history of whoever conquered Timbuktu...

...anyone wanna go take over Timbuktu with me? =D

Crap.

I'm recovering from a sore throat, catching a flu and becoming feverish.

And guess what?

I'll be spending the night reading about P. Muhammad and his life.

Ohmygoodness.

My nose is dripping watery liquid already. Call it premonition?

The Snowball Effect...

...when all those small things just gang up on you, like they've a grudge to settle or something.

One more straw just might break the camel's back, you never know.

Crappy thing is, I serve a God that can't be understood.

There's bound to be a whole lot of "Why?"s. So, why?!

I'll find out, soon enough.

The Awesomeness of Cell Group..

..is that numbers hardly matter.

Seriously!

We had 4 ppl, and we had, I quote Eulene, "The best cell group ever."

We had some weird cooking-for-fun thing (on-the-spot cooking with bread and eggs and whatever expired stuff (hahah) there was in Leanne's fridge).

It was fun!

Jin Ji cooks good k!

Then, of course, not forgetting the main purpose of cell group (to grow together in Him), we had a short time of sharing and talking, and a few great testimonies from Eulene.

Then prayer.

In the end no worship cuz Leroy was sleeping and Leanne didn't wanna disturb him to ask for permission to use his guitar, and no one could play songs on the keyboard properly.

Cell group was good. Even with four people, we did have a really good time in Him.

I mean I'm not saying big cell groups with lots of people are bad. I'm not saying we should shrink-size all cell groups.

I'm just saying cell group transcends how many people turn up.

Cuz really, when God's around, numbers don't matter as much as hearts do. 15 people regularly for cell group is freakin' awesome, but as little as 5 is also freakin' awesome.

So what if we only had four people? It was as awesome as when we have a dozen people!

It's something 'fat' Christians don't really understand.

Pastor Tom said, if I remember right, 80% of the church is made up of 'fat' Christians.

People who call themselves 'Christians' but just sit around and criticise what the other 20% do. 80% of works are done by that 20%.

Back to cell group.. if we have a few fit Christians, even just a handful, we can rock the world.

And if we have more than just a handful? We'll rock the highest heavens.

So come for cell group!
